Christmas 09

Wow I have already fallen behind on the blog. Christmas this year was great. We had all of our family together in Texas. It was so great to celebrate the holiday with all the ones we love. We are sad that they are going back to Nashville today.

Auston and Anslea have had many follow-ups the last couple of weeks. So far, everything has been good. We are not yet seeing any problems from being 10 weeks early. Everyone says they are perfect. We have alot to be thankful for.

One of the exciting things this holiday was watching Baylor open his gifts.
Afer each gift he was like ohhh cool. Hahaha. He got to ride on the tractor with his Uncle Chris and had a blast. So much fun to watch him, he is full of life.

First Check-up

Auston and Anslea had their first follow-up today with peditrican. He says they are perfect. Auston weight 4lbs 14oz and Anslea weighed 6lbs 1 oz. Both are growing and eating well. He says the he does not foresee them having any problems because of prematurity and stay in NICU. We are truly blessed that they are doing so well. Of course, we have many more follow-ups, but we will continue to pray those all go just as well.

I am oh so thankful for all the friends and family that lifted up prayers. He definitely answered them. Looking at those two lives makes you wonder how their are people out there that do not believe in God. He has shown how powerful and great He is with these babies. I will say that I have truly been blessed with the all the friends and family in our lives! Thanks again!

Homecoming

Well, yesterday was one of the most exciting days of my life. Auston and Anslea got to come home! It was the best feeling walking out of that NICU with both babies! I am so thankful for all the family and friends that have supported us with prayers the last 5 weeks. God for sure answered all the prayers we lifted up to Him. I was able to leave that unit with two healthy preemies, no monitors, and no horrible diagnosis.

Last night was a hard but great night. We are all trying to adjust to the newness. I believe the babies are used to a loud enviornment and had a hard time sleeping. Of course, Chris and I are trying to get used to waking every 3 hours to feed them. It is amazing to have them home though. Id much rather sleepless nights than not have them in my arms.

They both passed their carseat challenge. Their brain ultrasounds looked good no bleeds and their eye exams were normal no ROP. All is well with the Odom babies. Doc said again today home no later than Tuesday.

Good Day!

When I went to the hospital this morning they had increased the amount the babies are eating and the number of bottle feeds. They are doing so well with them. Im one proud momma. I see the finish line, we are almost there.

First Blog

I decided I would create a blog for the babies for friends and family to keep up. I feel like all the other moms have one so I said what they hey I'll create one.

The babies are doing great. The doctor says we should be home by next week. Im one excited Momma! I can not wait to hold my babies without a gown or gloves. Christmas will be amazing this year.
